Tunnel Vision

Light in a Dark Tunnel.

“You can listen to today’s devotion by clicking on this SoundCloud link.”

You may have heard this before: The optimist says, “There is a light at the end of the tunnel.” The pessimist replies, “With my luck it’s an oncoming train.”

But what if we can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel? What if the darkness is so overwhelming that we fear we will lose our way?Tunnel

“Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 New Living Translation

It’s a struggle to find faith when our world seems so dark. It may be our circumstances. It may be the struggles of a loved one. It may be a dark place in our mind that is devouring our light. We are just looking for some hope and some peace.

Be encouraged.

“As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.”
Micah 7:7 New Living Translation

He will lead us through the darkest tunnel into the Light of His Joy. There is light on the other side of any struggle or sadness or sin that is overwhelming you. Be strong and hope in the Lord. When you have no hope in your circumstances, you can put your hope in the Lord. He will uphold you.

“Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 New Living Translation

Even in the darkest tunnel!
